Team Description

Our Marketing team sets product positioning and strategy, manages product launches, and gathers customer insights. We’re responsible for maximizing our products' potential, in order to delight our users and help Dropbox grow. We partner with teams across the company, including Product, Sales, and Engineering.

Role Description

As the Director of Product Marketing Management, you will be part of a dynamic team of marketers responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive our product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans for Dash. This role encompasses various key areas, including sales enablement, competitive analysis, value proposition development, and customer insights. It will require in time leading and developing talent as well as the team grows.

Please note, Dropbox is currently only authorized to hire candidates from the following provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Vision: Build and articulate the vision and strategy for the Product Marketing Management role and team, aligning with overall company goals and market opportunities.
  • Market Segmentation: Define and refine market segmentation strategies to identify target customer segments, deeply understanding their pain points and developing tailored messaging to address their needs.
  • Sales Enablement: Collaborate with Revenue Enablement to design and implement impactful sales enablement programs that equip the sales team with the necessary knowledge, tools, and resources to effectively communicate Dropbox's value proposition.
  • Messaging & Positioning: Develop compelling and customer-centric narratives that highlight the value of Dropbox solutions, ensuring consistent messaging across all customer touch points.
  • Competitive Analysis: Partner with competitive intelligence managers to conduct thorough market and competitor analyses, providing insights that inform product positioning and differentiation strategies.
  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of high-impact marketing assets, including pitch decks, discovery questions, data sheets, ebooks, and case studies, that support sales and demand generation efforts.
  • Campaign Execution: Work closely with the demand generation team to develop and execute marketing campaigns aimed at driving awareness, consideration, and adoption of Dropbox solutions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with sales, customer success, product management, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective collaboration on marketing initiatives.
  • Training & Development: Partner with Revenue Enablement to deliver comprehensive training programs and workshops that enhance the sales team's understanding of product features, competitive positioning, and customer benefits.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and sales enablement efforts, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the sales process, customer behavior, and market trends
  • 10+ years of leadership experience, with 6+ years working closely with sales teams
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Strong marketing competencies across strategic planning, content creation, sales enablement, and performance reporting
  • Familiarity with sales enablement technologies, CRM systems, and analytics tools
  • Experience partnering with Sales, Productivity, Customer Success, and Marketing Operations teams
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, visual) for both internal audiences and customer-facing messaging
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and qualitative research and distill it into actionable insights
  • Experience leading high-performing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B and B2C SaaS productivity or a related product category
  • Experience in creating and/or implementing customer-centric sales methodologies
  • Direct sales experience, sales enablement, or customer-facing experience to establish credibility with sellers
  • Experience with multi-route GTM enablement strategy and navigating business model transitions (e.g., from box licensing to SaaS)

Total Rewards

Canada Pay Range
$199,750—$270,250 CAD

The range listed above is the expected annual salary/OTE for this role, subject to change.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Dropbox is a Virtual First company and is open to hiring candidates in all authorized locations. However, for this role, the locations posted are preferred.
