Our Marketing team sets product positioning and strategy, manages product launches, and gathers customer insights. We’re responsible for maximizing our products' potential, in order to delight our users and help Dropbox grow. We partner with teams across the company, including Product, Sales, and Engineering.

Role Description

As part of the Marketing Operations & Technology organization, the Campaign Operations Lead will manage the team and agency responsible for the execution of campaigns on our marketing automation platforms (Iterable and Marketo).

In this role, you’ll collaborate across marketing departments to bring their programs to life, with the primary focus on email campaigns. You’ll build and manage scalable processes for optimal campaign execution, from intake and requirements gathering to the campaign build, QA, monitoring, and reporting.

We’re looking for someone with email marketing expertise, business acumen, and great project management skills who can juggle multiple requests and competing priorities, build strong partnerships across marketing, and promote the adoption of best practices for email campaign execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Campaign Operations team responsible for the execution of global marketing campaigns, especially focused on email programs in Iterable and Marketo
  • Design and document scalable processes to support campaign operations, including campaign setup, deployment, QA and post campaign reporting
  • Train and mentor campaign operations team members, providing leadership and expertise around email campaign best practices
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations across global teams (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, and other local variations)
  • Manage the relationship and budget for third-party service providers, ensuring the smooth delivery of work between agencies and the marketing team
  • Track, analyze and report on marketing campaign performance to optimize conversions and overall results
  • Collaborate with Lifecycle Marketing, Field and Channel Marketing, Paid Media, Data Science and other marketing teams to align campaign execution with business objectives
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, including 2+ years of leading a Campaign Operations or Marketing Operations team
  • Solid hands-on experience building email campaigns on marketing automation platforms (eg. Marketo, Iterable)
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Iterable and/or Marketo is essential. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in at least one of these marketing automation platforms (preferably Iterable) and some practical experience with the other. This is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) role that requires the ability to coach and mentor team members as well as cross-functional partners on the use and processes of these systems. Candidates without familiarity with both Marketo and Iterable will not be suitable for this position.
  • Experience with project management tools (eg. Jira) and resource management
  • Proven track record in making data-driven decisions to continually optimize conversions and performance of marketing campaigns
  • Well-organized, able to prioritize tasks and handle time optimally, ability to translate business goals into executable tasks and convey them to stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, able to communicate technical language into layman’s terms
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field or experience
  • Good understanding of database structure, analytics, and campaign attribution
  • Experience managing an agency with a large budget and high-impact deliverables

Total Rewards

Canada Pay Range
$116,000—$157,000 CAD

The range listed above is the expected annual salary/OTE for this role, subject to change.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
