Our Finance team builds the financial infrastructure to scale our growing company. We combine analytical and strategic thinking to develop a sound financial future for our global brand. We work closely with teams across the company, as well as with external partners.
Role Description
Dropbox is looking for a seasoned Director of Infrastructure FP&A to lead our Infrastructure finance efforts, focusing on long-term strategy, financial forecasting, and supporting critical business decisions across the Infrastructure, Platform, Business Foundation, and Design organizations. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Finance, you will partner with senior executives across Finance and Infrastructure functions, bringing thought leadership and financial expertise to ensure the company’s strategic goals are met.
This role demands strong leadership, an analytical mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. You will oversee the annual planning process for the Engineering, Product, and Design teams while driving a wide range of strategic initiatives, decision-making, and financial performance improvements for Dropbox’s technology landscape.
Responsibilities
- Lead Dropbox’s Infrastructure FP&A team, providing strategic financial direction and long-term planning for the company's infrastructure functions.
- Partner with senior executives across Finance, Engineering, Product, and Design teams to deliver financial forecasts, analyses, and insights that drive decision-making and long-term success.
- Lead the annual financial planning process for engineering, product, and design teams, ensuring alignment with broader financial objectives and company goals.
- Conduct deep financial analysis and scenario modeling to support strategic decisions and resource allocation across the Infrastructure organization.
- Present financial insights, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership, including the CFO, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Drive resource optimization, cost management, and investment strategies that align with Dropbox’s infrastructure and growth objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to engineering and product leadership, influencing business outcomes through strategic financial insights and partnership.
- Ensure a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, as analysis will be regularly presented to C-level management.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Finance experience, with 5+ years in management roles of increasing responsibility, demonstrating strong corporate finance and accounting acumen.
- Extensive experience partnering with senior executives in R&D and Datacenter Operations organizations.
- Public company experience.
- Strong background in the SaaS or technology industries.
- Superb analytical and quantitative skills, coupled with a strong executive presence.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, large and small groups, and one-on-one settings.
- Flawless attention to detail and a track record of producing high-quality work consistently, with C-level analysis and presentations.
- Proven experience partnering with senior leadership across Finance and other cross-functional areas.
- Strong influencing skills, with the ability to assert ideas constructively and work collaboratively within a team-centric culture.
- Self-starter mentality with a demonstrated ability to independently drive projects and deliver results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strategy or strategic initiatives experience within Finance or another relevant capacity.
- Experience with capital allocation, such as in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or corporate development roles.

The range(s) listed above is the expected annual salary/OTE (On-Target Earnings) for this role, subject to change.
Please note, OTE are for sales roles only.
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.
Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current US Zone locations are as follows:
• US Zone 1: San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro
• US Zone 2: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington DC metro, and West Virginia (DC metro)
• US Zone 3: All other US locations
