Celebrating Latinx Heritage Month: Belonging at Dropbox with TODOS

We foster an inclusive culture where you’re free to be yourself, make meaningful connections, and build community. This Latinx Heritage Month, we’re excited to highlight the significance of belonging through the lens of our newly renamed Latinx Employee Resource Group (ERG) TODOS—Together for Opportunity, Diversity, and Organizational Success.
What is TODOS? 

TODOS, meaning "all" or "everyone" in Spanish and Portuguese, perfectly encapsulates our commitment to inclusivity and unity. The name change reflects our evolving understanding of the rich cultural, ethnic, and identity nuances within our community. It also signifies our dedication to fostering an environment where everyone—whether they identify as Latinx, Latine, Hispanic, or another identity—feels seen, heard, and valued.

The Journey to TODOS 

The transition to the name TODOS was a thoughtful, inclusive process. We engaged our members in discussions, gathered their input, and collectively decided on a name that best represents our diverse community. Through this journey, we identified four core values that define our mission and we’re excited to highlight them in some exciting ways during Latinx Heritage Month, and beyond.

We strive to amplify every voice, create opportunities for connection and mentorship, honor diverse traditions, and provide resources for career advancement and personal growth, fostering a culture of inclusivity, growth, and shared success.

Our mission at TODOS, "Together for Opportunity, Diversity, and Organizational Success," is to foster an inclusive community that celebrates Latin heritage, cultures, and identities while welcoming allies. We strive to amplify every voice, create opportunities for connection and mentorship, honor diverse traditions, and provide resources for career advancement and personal growth, fostering a culture of inclusivity, growth, and shared success.

Promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace

Education and awareness are essential in promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, as they lay the groundwork for understanding and appreciating the varied experiences of our colleagues. By fostering awareness, we empower our teams to recognize and leverage differences and create a more inclusive environment. TODOS plays a pivotal role in this effort, ensuring that our workplace remains a space where everyone is encouraged to contribute authentically and feel valued.

Belonging is a collective effort, and everyone at Dropbox is invited to play a role in empowering our community and embracing TODOS. Whether it’s attending an event, volunteering, or engaging in conversations that celebrate our diverse identities, every action counts. 

This Latinx Heritage Month is a vibrant time when TODOS brings cultural traditions to life through engaging and educational activities. We’ve celebrated with cooking demos featuring traditional Latin American dishes, allowing us to share a piece of our heritage through flavors and stories; storytelling sessions, where members of TODOS share personal narratives and family histories, providing powerful opportunities for deeper connection; dance workshops that highlight the rhythms and movements of our cultures, adding an energetic and joyful element to the celebrations; and TODOS has organized panels that address important topics like identity, representation, and professional growth, enriching our collective understanding and appreciation of the Latinx community.

Together, we’re making Dropbox a place where every individual feels they belong, can thrive, and make their mark.
